Hello everyone,

This is my first post on here. I came across this site from another member, Gazza (also on the english Coupe Club http://www.406coupe.com).

I have a 2003 Scarlet Red HDi, slightly modded with the 3.0 Strut Brace and a K & N Panel Filter for the time being.

Here she is:

Hi Amadeous,

Yes definately, the throttle is more responsive and it accelerates better too but fuel consumption seems unaffected unless you drive it harder. When you accelerate from around 60MPH in 4th on a dual carriageway/motorway, it picks up speed quicker as far as I can tell.

Perhaps it eases the incoming air flow into the surcharger which improves its time response.
I have already modified my engine chip( I get up around 170 HP: dixit the company, and it works perfectly well).
But know I am thinking to change my original Panel filter to pursue the improving of the engine efficiency

I would definately go for one, over here they tend to be around the £40.00 price bracket (I am not too sure of the Euro equivelent).

You will notice a difference :D

In Germany such a legal panel filter from k&n will cost round about 49,- Euro.

When my original one is too old and dirty, I´ll change it into a new one from k&n likewise. :1:

Around Paris shop, the price is 73 €. So , it is too expensive regarding the priceof which you can get it.
